School Policies

School uniform is compulsory at Hope High School. Regular checks are made and parents are informed when their son/daughter is not complying with the school regulations.

Specialist items of school uniform, which are marked * can only be purchased at Wilkinson's Outfitters, Chorley Road, Swinton.

• Black school trousers/grey school skirt/grey culottes
• White school shirt, short or long sleeved
• School Tie
• Sensible black shoes
• Plain white or black socks or black tights
• *Black sweatshirt with school logo
• Sensible jacket or coat

*All students must have an apron suitable for science and technology subjects. This should be a flame retardant apron.
Sweatshirts , other than the school sweatshirt, must not be worn for school. Hooded sweatshirts or fleeces are not acceptable as outdoor wear. Baseball caps should not be worn to school.

Sports Equipment

• Navy games shorts/culottes/skirt (with blue gym knickers)
• *Red long sleeved games shirt with school logo
• *Red polo shirt, short sleeved with school logo
• Long red socks (outdoor/winter)
• Short white socks (indoor/summer)
• Trainers (not ankle boots) with a non marking sole
• Football boots (for boys only)
• Towel

Optional

• Navy or black sweatshirt for winter
• Navy or black tracksuit bottoms for winter
• Hope High rain jacket (available through school)

Jewellery

Jewellery, including earrings, is not suitable for students to wear in school. Watches may be worn but the school cannot be responsible for any loss or damage.

Mobile phones and MP3 players are not allowed in school.
