Homework
We regard homework as an important part of the work of every student. It encourages students to work independently, to extend their range of learning experiences and reinforce the work encountered in the classroom.
To compliment their lesson, teachers set meaningful tasks. It is important to recognise that this may not always be a written task. It can also be reading, revising, learning, researching, interviewing, designing a practical task or preparation for work to be completed in school. It may also be an extended project, which may last several weeks.
In all years students receive a "Student Planner" in which they are required to note homework tasks and record necessary information. We ask that parents check and sign the planner weekly and ensure that tasks are completed.
