Email Acceptable Use Policy
YOU MUST:
· Agree to the Internet Acceptable Use Policy (Rules), which covers any email activity (Internet Acceptable Use Policies can be accessed through the Community section of the Salford Intranet).
· Agree to the Email Acceptable Use Policy (Rules)
· Keep all communications polite, decent and within all rules.
YOU MAY NOT:
· Send any emails containing offensive, indecent or illegal material to anyone, no matter if you know them or not.
· Attempt to transmit any viruses or illegal material this is against the law and your details will be passed to the police.
· Use your school email address or school facilities for mass emailing or for spamming.
· Impersonate any other person.
· Use any other account other than your own, even if other students have given you their permission to use their account.
· Attempt to change any message headers.
OTHER NOTES:
· We (Hope High ICT Support and SLT) retain the right to amend these rules AT ANY TIME. The new rules will be posted on the Community area of the Intranet.
·
We now have an automatic bad word filter which scans all incoming and outgoing emails for all HopeHigh School Email accounts. Should you send or receive an email containing a blacklisted word, a copy will automatically be sent to the HopeHigh School Postmaster and the word(s) will be removed from the email(s).
If you are found to be emailing offensive content, you may be banned and/or contacted by one of the ICT Support team and SLT
· We reserve the right to view any sent or received emails if we believe there is abuse of the system.
· All incoming and outgoing emails are virus checked at the internal mail server and Internet Service Provider.
· The maximum permitted email size is 10Mb. This is enforced by the Internet Service Provider (Salford LEA). You may find 3rd party mail boxes do not accept emails greater than 2Mb.
