Community Links

Hope High School is proud of its long standing links with the local community. We have developed sporting links with Salford City Reds and Manchester United. Local agencies such as Fairbridge, Education Business Partnership and local businesses, are a part of the framework of support we offer to our students.

Our students have been involved, over a number of years, in a European Education Project. We are currently exchanging work and ideas with students from schools in Lunen in Germany and Slagelse in Denmark. Students contact each other by email and combined projects are taking place in French, Foundation and Art. With the modern technology that we have in school these links are being extended all the time.

Closer to home, each year group in school has adopted a charity, for which students raise funds and awareness. The charities sponsored include British Heart Foundation, Francis House, NSPCC, Cancer Research and Make a Wish. Students have chosen these charities themselves and meet regularly, as the School Community Forum, to discuss issues relating to the charities or to the school environment.

The Community Forum also helps organise school events.
